Weekly Bulletin 09/08/13

Week of September 8, 2013

Dear Parishioners,

Our Music Ministry continues to grow, and Fall is a perfect time to review the various groups which serve our parish and community. All of these groups are open to new members:

  • St. Noel Choir is a group of 78 active members. There are no auditions required to become a member of this choir. Our St. Noel Choir serves during all weekend Liturgies, Holy Days, Holidays and special religious events. We practice each Thursday from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the church.
  • St. Noel Community Choir is a group of singers that visits nursing homes, assisted living, senior houses, hospices and hospitals. We practice twice a month, 11:00 a.m. – Noon on second and fourth Thursdays of each month in the church.
  • St. Noel Concert Choir is an auditioned group that sings advanced repertoire. They perform at St. Noel Church as well as in other churches and local festivals. We practice weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the church. If you are interested in becoming a member of this group, please participate in the audition. Details about the audition and a sign-up sheet are available on the kiosk.
  • St. Noel Handbell Choir is a group of dedicated ringers which plays at our weekend and Holy Day liturgies. The ability to read music is necessary. We practice weekly on Thursdays from 5:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Lower Level.
  • The Resurrection Choir provides music for our funerals. Practice takes place 30 minutes before each funeral.
  • Young Voices is a group of young people in grades 3-12. We provide music for some of the weekend Masses during the church year. Practices are weekly, beginning Tuesday, September 24th from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the church.
  • Youth Bell Choir is also for grades 3-12. We practice weekly during the school year on Wednesdays. The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, September 25th at4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. in the Lower Level.
  • Our Music Ministry is also open to any instrumentalists who can add their talents to any group.
  • Finally, Cantors are an essential part to our liturgies. This liturgical role is open to any age group. Auditions and practices are individually scheduled.

As you can see there are a wide variety of ways to participate in our Music Ministry. Detailed information about each of the music groups can be found on the kiosk. If you have any questions, contact me (440-946-0887 or [email protected]). Please consider adding your talents to one of these groups and give praise to God.
