Weekly Bulletin 07/14/13

Week of July 14, 2013

Dear Parishioners,

Each year we invite a speaker to make an appeal at our liturgies for a missionary project which promotes the Gospel and human development. This appeal is a reminder that we are a world-wide church and that the message of Christ is to extend to all the nations.

I wish to inform you that next weekend, Mr. Joseph Cistone will be making our annual mission appeal. Joe is the Executive Director of International Partners in Mission (IPM). IPM identifies and selects projects from around the world that are community-based, and then links these projects with individuals, parish congregations or other like-minded organizations who can help fund and support these efforts.

You may donate to this missionary appeal in one of three ways: (1) place loose cash in next week’s collection, (2) ushers will be in the Narthex after the liturgies to accept any offering, or (3) place a donation in next week’s collection marked “missionary” (all checks should be made out to St. Noel).

There is no part of the world which is excluded from the love of God and, therefore, from our care and concern. The missionary appeal reminds us of our worldwide responsibility. Please be generous next weekend.

Fr. George Smiga

IF YOU’RE CURIOUS ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH or if you have thought about becoming a Catholic, our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) might just be for you! Adults from all faith traditions or those with no religious background at all, are welcome to participate in our gatherings. In the first phase of the RCIA process, no commitment is required. We simply meet in an informal atmosphere of conversation and sharing, where you will be free to ask any questions you may have about the Catholic Church, its traditions or worship, and discuss where God might be leading you. These sessions are designed so that your questions and experiences are paramount to our discussion. In addition, we will focus on what the Church teaches about the Bible, spirituality, and ways of expressing our faith. If you or someone you know might be interested in inquiring about the Catholic faith, please call the parish office (440-946-0887).
