Weekly Bulletin 05/12/13

Week of May 12, 2013

Dear Parishioners,

Each year our Music Ministry holds a Pentecost concert to celebrate the end of the Easter season. The concert will take place next Sunday, May 19th at 4:00 p.m. in our church. During the performance you will be able to hear St. Noel Music Ministry Choir, St. Noel Concert Choir, Youth Bell Choir and Adult Bell Choir and Instrumentalists. The program will include 23 pieces from different composers, styles and eras. The concert is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be collected for the benefit of St. Noel Music Ministry.

We are blessed at St. Noel to have so many dedicated parishioners who comprise our Music Ministry. We are also blessed to have the dedication and skill of our Music Director, Agnieszka Bieniek to lead them.

Come next Sunday to celebrate the gift of music which is ours at St. Noel.

Fr. George Smiga

BUILDING THE WORD WEBSITE – For the last six months Fr. George has been building a website which includes a video that promotes the Gospel. This video will be the first of a series which will relate scripture and spirituality to questions of modern life. It is becoming clear to many in the Catholic Church that more and more people do not attend Mass regularly. Therefore the praise and preaching which occur every weekend does not reach them. If you find the website and video valuable, please spread the news. Tell your kids at school or your family and friends out of town about it. If you like any part of the website, please leave a comment. You can do this in the form on the website itself. You can also “Like” Fr. George on Facebook or follow him on Twitter. The website ishttp://buildingontheword.org.

MONDAY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – Have you experienced personal prayer time yet at our Monday Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel? If not, you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Worshipping before the Blessed Sacrament is not a one way prayer. Spending one hour with our God, in our beautiful chapel surrounded by a lovely view of nature, brings serenity and peace to those who take the time to pray in this way. We have an opening for the 6 to 7 p.m. hour. If this time conflicts with your schedule, we do have openings on the substitute list. If you are unable to make a commitment at this time, remember that you are always welcome to stop in anytime on Mondays between 1:00 and 9:00 p.m. Please call Jan (440-951-5593) if you are available to fill the 6 to 7 p.m. hour, or would like to be put on the substitute list to help when someone is not available to fill their hour.
