Thank you to all who attended the Fair Trade Consignment Sale held in the small hall on Saturday, October 27, and Sunday, October 28, 2018. Your purchases empower rural artisans and provide opportunities for disadvantaged producers and marginalized women. Ethical trade items are produced with fair payment for goods produced, no child labor, no forced labor, no discrimination, good working conditions, and respect for the environment. Thank you for opening your hearts and wallets to help these farmers and artisans.
Each item sold also represents a small donation to CRS whose programs help the world’s poorest people obtain sustainable agriculture, clean water, sanitation, education, jobs and a better understanding of how to resolve conflicts peacefully. CRS reaches more than 100 million people a year in more than 100 countries. Your purchases and donations help to make this vital work possible. We hope you enjoy the ethical trade items, and, once again, thank you.
