Daytime Retreat Changed to – Wednesday, February 21st
DATE CHANGE TO FEBRUARY 21st, “MINING FOR SPIRITUAL GEMS: A Practice of Mindfulness, Gratitude, Reflection, and Journaling,” which has been rescheduled because of bad weather. It will run from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. There will be a morning and afternoon prayer service, presentations on the topic, and a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Randy.
We will be using the Stations of Consolation to explore how we can read Scripture mindful of its gems and reflect upon them as a Lenten practice to inspire our own journaling, writing prayers, etc. We will also see how we can find gems in our living when we observe feelings of being blessed by God and others. This will help us understand how mindfulness and gratitude are two sides of the same coin. The retreat will be facilitated by Sharon Waltermire, Fran Armbruster and the Retreat Community. Call Fran for further information – 440-625-1228.
Please sign up on the kiosk in the narthex or call the church office at 440-946-0887. We are always prepared for people who find out at the last minute that they can join us. There is no charge, but for those who are able, we suggest a donation of $6.00 to cover the cost of lunch.
It is good to come together as we travel our spiritual journeys, coming to know that we are the Beloved of God, mindful of the Spirit working in our lives, with others who also wish to move forward toward living in and from the True Self.
