Weekly Bulletin 9/14/14

Dear Parishioner,

Our Music Ministry continues to grow, and fall is a perfect time to review the various groups which serve our parish and community. All of these groups are open to new members:

·St. Noel Choir is a group of 78 active members.  There are no auditions required to become a member of this choir. Our St. Noel Choir serves during all weekend liturgies, Holy Days, Holidays  and special religious events. Practices are each Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the church.

·St. Noel Community Choir is a group that started its ministry last fall. This group serves those who  can’t come to the church or go to a concert. Last year they visited eight nursing homes and assisted living facilities. They practice 11:00 a.m.– Noon on second and fourth Thursdays of each month in the church.

·St. Noel Concert Choir is an auditioned group that sings advanced repertoire. They perform at St. Noel Church as well as at other churches and local  festivals. They practice weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00–9:00 p.m.in the church. If you are interested in becoming a member of this group, please contact Director of Music Ministry, Agnieszka (Aga) Bieniek.  This year the concert choir will present Castle of the Soul prayer service in a number of places in the area. All of these presentations are free and open to     the public. More information can be found on our  website and on the kiosk.

·St. Noel Handbell Choir is a group of dedicated  ringers which plays at our weekend and Holy Day liturgies. The ability to read music is necessary.  They practice weekly on Thursdays from 5:45-7:00 p.m. in the Lower Level.

·The Resurrection Choir provides music for our funerals. Practice takes place 30 minutesbefore each funeral.

·Young Voices is a group of young people in grades 3-8. They provide music for some of the weekend  Masses throughout the church year. Practices are weekly, beginning Tuesday, September 23rd from 5:45-6:30 p.m. in the church.

·Youth Bell Choir is for grades 3-12. They practiceweekly during the school year on  Wednesdays. First rehearsal will be Wednesday, September 17th from 4:45-5:45 p.m. in the Lower  Level.

·Our Music Ministry is also open to any  instrumentalists who can add their talents to our  group.

We are always in need of cantors for our weekend liturgies. This essential role to our liturgy is open to any age group. Auditions and practices are individually scheduled.

This year we offer a new opportunity for high school students. We would like to invite all students in grades 9-12 who like to sing or play any instrument to form a band which will enhance our liturgies. Rehearsals will be at the church on selected Sundays from 5:45-6:45 p.m. The rehearsal schedule will be coordinated with Prime Time meetings and will be available on our website and on the kiosk.

As you can see there are a wide variety of ways to participate in our Music Ministry. Detailed information about each of the music groups can be found on our website and on the kiosk. If you have any questions, call or email Agnieszka (Aga) Bieniek (440-946-0887 or [email protected]). Please consider if you can add your talents to one of these groups which give praise to God. If you have any questions or would like to sign up for any of our groups, Music Ministry members will be available in the narthex after each Mass this weeked.
