You will remember that as part of the Diocesan Rooted in Faith Campaign we allocated seventy percent of the funds that returned to the parish to our Endowment Fund. The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to assist the parish in its programming needs for the spread of the gospel. Because of the influx of funds from the Rooted in Faith Campaign, our Endowment now stands at $353,000.00. This larger amount allows the Endowment Committee to disperse more generous gifts to support parish programs.
This past year the Endowment provided $2,880.00 for the creation of our new parish website. At the June meeting they presented the parish with a check for $14,025.00. This gift will support our CALLL, PEACE and Prime Time youth faith formation programs, as well as our First Communion preparation program.
As the Endowment grows, there will be more funds available for parish needs. I encourage all of you to support the Endowment with your personal gifts. It is a way to provide lasting support to St. Noel. Further information about the Endowment can be found under the “Parish Life” tab on our parish website.

VIRTUS TRAINING SESSION – will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Banquet Center Small Hall. If you volunteer with children at St. Noel you are encouraged to attend one of these sessions. The VIRTUS® program helps the Church to be a safe haven for children and a messenger for child sexual abuse prevention within the Church and society in general. To register, go to www.dioceseofcleveland.org and click on “Protecting Children” in the A-Z index. If you have questions about the process, please contact Michele (440-946-1128, ext. 21 or [email protected]).
CATHOLIC UPDATE – July copies entitled “End-Of-Life Moral Issues” are available in the kiosk and on the table in the narthex.
FOOD PANTRY NEEDS – Our Food Pantry continues to serve area families each month. Blue grocery bags are available for you to support the pantry. Pick up a bag on the table in the narthex or grab one off the hook next to the pantry door. Bring it with you to the grocery store, add a few items and then drop it off in the pantry when you come to Mass. You can leave the filled bag in the bin and take an empty bag for another trip. It’s a great service to those in our community.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – We are in need of an additional person to come to Adoration on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please call the parish office if you are able to fill this time slot. Each Holy Hour that you make in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament releases His power and graces upon you, your family and your parish. In today’s busy world, it is so meaningful to spend this precious time with God. If you are unable to make a definite commitment, please stop in anytime during Eucharistic Adoration and you’ll be richly blessed.
USHERS NEEDED for 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturdays. Please call the parish office if you would be interested.
SUNDAY MORNING HELP – We are looking for someone who would be willing to be available to volunteer on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Church office. This is sometimes the only time that people are able to drop things off, pick things up, and ask questions. It is a great way for you to meet other parishioners. Please call the parish office if you feel you might be interested.
IF YOU’RE CURIOUS ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH – or if you have thought about becoming a Catholic, our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) might just be for you! Adults from all faith traditions or those with no religious background at all are welcome to participate in our gatherings. In the first phase of the RCIA process, no commitment is required. We simply meet in an informal atmosphere of conversation and sharing, where you will be free to ask any questions you may have about the Catholic Church, its traditions or worship, and discuss where God might be leading you. These sessions are designed so that your questions and experiences are paramount to our discussion. In addition, we will focus on what the Church teaches about the Bible, spirituality, and ways of expressing our faith. If you or someone you know might be interested in inquiring about the Catholic faith, please call the parish office at 440-946-0887.
CLOTHING SHED VOLUNTEER – Our clothing shed has been a great success and is emptied every week or two by our partners at St. Pauly Textile. She deeply appreciates your prayers and any help you can offer.
20/20 DONATIONS: Thanks to your generosity, we have collected $3,090.00 towards funding the Young Neighbors in Action trip for our high school teens. Money is still needed to fully cover the cost of the week. Checks should be made out to St. Noel with “YNIA” in the memo line.

Something to think about from the St. Noel Endowment Board…. When is the last time you looked at who the beneficiaries are on your life insurance, IRA or other accounts? It’s time to take a look, update if necessary. When updating beneficiaries, know that a charity like the St. Noel Endowment fund can be a beneficiary of all or part of one of these assets.
