Most of you are aware that we surpassed our goal for the Diocesan 2012 Rooted In Faith Campaign. Seventy percent of the funds which will remain at St. Noel will be invested in our parish Endowment. Ten percent will be donated to charitable organizations. Twenty percent of the funds are targeted for our on-going maintenance needs. This summer these maintenance funds will be used to carry out a major repair in our church.
The large windows behind the music area are original to the 1983 church building. They have seriously deteriorated and water comes into the church during heavy storms. This summer these windows will be removed and replaced with up-to-date sun resistant windows. They will match the windows at the end of the baptismal nave, which were replaced in the 2005 renovation. We believe the work can be done in one week (Mon-Fri). We are aiming at early August.
I would like to thank all of our parishioners who made pledges to the Rooted in Faith Campaign. Your continued cooperation will assist us in keeping our parish plant in prime condition.
Fr. George Smigs
