Each year our parish supports a group of high school teens in an immersion experience of service. This year five teens will travel to Chicago from June 25th-July 1st, in partnership with “Young Neighbors in Action.” The youth will not only serve, but take time to reflect on their experience and learn about the components of Catholic Social Teaching.
I am asking parishioners to support our youth by contributing $20 to the effort. With every 20 parishioners who contribute, we will be able to sponsor one teen. Our goal this year is to raise $2,500 to pay for teens, chaperones, and transportation.
This weekend and next, our Youth Minister Erica Zalar will be in the narthex to accept your donations toward this effort. Donations can also be dropped off in the parish office throughout the week. Checks should be made out to St. Noel with “YNIA” in the memo line.
Youth Ministry is the task of the entire parish. Please consider contributing to this important effort to fund a significant opportunity for our youth to come to know the joy of their faith in a deeper way.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – There will be no Eucharistic Adoration this Monday, May 29th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday and our parish office will be closed. Mass will celebrated at 9:00 a.m.
EVENING VOLUNTEER is needed in the parish office on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. You would volunteer every other week. Please call Gina in the parish office at 440-946-0887 if you are interested.
OUTDOOR CHAPEL CLEANUP – Once again we are looking for volunteers to assist with the cleanup of the outdoor chapel on Saturday, June 3rd. If you or your family are interested in helping, grab your rakes and leaf blowers. Call the parish office at 440-946-0887 if you are able to lend a hand.
SOCIAL JUSTICE COLLECTION – Next weekend our ushers will be in the Narthex to accept your donations to our Social Justice Fund.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – MAKER FUN FACTORY, St. Noel’s 2017 VBS adventure, takes place July 10th – 14th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. daily. Children ages 3 to entering 6th grade can attend. JULY 2017 HOSPITALITY SERVERS NEEDED! – The Hospitality Committee needs more volunteers to serve coffee, punch and doughnuts at the 11:00 Mass. BABY BOTTLES CHANGE LIVES – Did you pick up a baby bottle? Our annual baby bottle fundraiser has begun and runs through Father’s Day. Get your bottle at the table in the narthex. The loose change you’re putting in your baby bottle for Womankind allows them to offer pregnant women in need free prenatal care and a full range of support services. NOEL FELLOWSHIP – Meetings are held on Thursdays at Noon in the St. Noel Banquet Center Small Hall. Activities are: On June 1st, Bingo; June 8th, discussion about salad luncheon; June 15th, Bingo. WILLOUGHBY HILLS WELLNESS RUN – For the last two years, the city of Willoughby Hills has hosted a 5k run/walk and given part of the proceeds to the St. Noel Food Pantry. We recently received a check for $1752.34 from the 2016 event! The 2017 Wellness Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 1st. Would you like to help at the event? 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION – Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 30th at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Registrations are now being accepted for couples married 50 years. Forms are available in the kiosk or the parish office. The deadline for registration is Monday, June 19th. HOPE CHEST TRUSTEE – The Hope Chest in Painesville provides clean clothing and new shoes, socks and underwear to school children in Lake County so that they may attend school with dignity and pride. Hope Chest is completely volunteer run and is currently looking to expand their Board of Trustees. DRUG ABUSE & ADDICTION – The Lake County ADAMHS Board is sponsoring two programs for grandparents interested in helping their grandchildren steer clear of drug abuse and addiction. Both programs are free, but preregistration is required. See flyers on the kiosk.
MEMORY LOSS PROBLEM – RSVP of Lake County, along with the Benjamin Rose Institute, have received a grant to begin the Music & Memory program in our area. The program is designed for individuals with dementia who live in Lake County. See the kiosk for details.
