Dear Parishioner,

This summer, St. Noel will be sponsoring a day-camp for middle school youth (currently in grades 6-8), June 12-16. The camp is called Camp YAC (Youth Acting for Christ).

Camp YAC is designed to celebrate the tremendous gift middle school youth are to our faith community.

Camp activities are designed to build confidence, model gospel values, include each camper, and create a fun environment.

This camp is sponsored by St. Noel Church with partial funding from the Diocese of Cleveland.

The registration for Camp YAC is now open. Brochures and registration forms can be found in the kiosk. We are also looking for high school students to volunteer as camp counselors. Applications for this opportunity can also be found in the kiosk. Young adults Meghan Guban, Colleen Lipold and Caroline Repko and will act as assistant camp directors.

Camping space is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. The deadline for registration is May 22nd. So sign up for Camp YAC today. It is an opportunity to Get Away With God!

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – On Monday, February 13th adoration hours will be from 1:00-6:00 p.m.

NOEL CONCERT SERIES The Heidelberg University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers (Dr. Greg Ramsdell, Conductor and Cynthia Ramsdell, Accompanist) present the concert “Upthis SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12th, 4:00 p.m. at St. Noel Church.  This concert is free and open to the public. PANCAKE BREAKFAST – Join us this Sunday, February 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for the Pancake Breakfast in the Banquet Center. Tickets are not needed and a free-will donation will be taken. All proceeds will benefit our Youth Ministry programs. Spread the news!

SOCIAL JUSTICE COLLECTION – Our ushers will be in the narthex next weekend (February 18th & 19th) to accept your donations to our Social Justice Fund.

LEAF – If you have a loved one or family member who is incarcerated, consider attending LEAF (Listening, Empowering, Assisting Families) at St. Noel.  Sessions take place on the third Monday of each month at 7pm.  The next meeting is on Monday, February 20th. LEAF is a non-denominational ministry where relatives and friends of those incarcerated can join with others in conversation and fellowship. Meetings are anonymous and registration is not required. MUSIC MINISTRY invites all families to join our group (singers and instrumentalists). Rehearsals are Thursdays 7:00 p.m.-8:10 p.m. for those who would like to sing during weekend Masses only, and 7:00-9:00 p.m. for those who would also like sing in the concerts. If you have any questions please contact Agnieszka (Aga) Bieniek at [email protected] or 440-946-1128 x119.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – has made a difference in the lives of men and women who spend time before the Blessed Sacrament on Mondays between 1:00-9:00 p.m. Each holy hour that you make in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament releases his grace and power upon you, your family and your parish.

We are looking for several additional people who are available on Mondays between 3:00-4:00 p.m. or 4:00-5:00 p.m. If you are able to help with either of these time slots, please call Jan at 440-951-5593 or the parish office – 440-946-0887.

NEW SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE – Looking to make a difference? The St. Noel Social Justice Committee is looking for new members. Our current members have served the parish faithfully and are quite involved in the justice ministries already happening. We are looking for new members interested in furthering the mission of Christ at St. Noel and within our community. UPCOMING BLOOD DRIVE – Our next blood drive is scheduled for Sunday, February 26th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Banquet Center. Give the gift of life; sign up to donate at www.redcrossblood.org/. Thanks to the Repkos for coordinating this blood drive.

GIRLS BOOK CLUB – will gather on Tuesday, March 14th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The book they are reading is, “Same Sun Here” by Silas House and Neela Vaswini.

“In this extraordinary novel in two voices, an Indian immigrant girl in New York City and a Kentucky coal miner’s son find strength and perspective by sharing their true selves across the miles.” This event is open to all girls in grades 6-12. HEALTHCARE TASK FORCE – In the time leading up to the Affordable Care Act, members of St. Noel formed a task force to raise awareness and advocate around the issue of healthcare. Given the current climate, the need for awareness and advocacy has become clear, and the Church’s teaching/vision must be shared. If you have an interest in witnessing the Church’s position that healthcare is a basic human right, please contact Anthony (946-1128 x122).

SENIOR PRODUCE MARKET – The St. Noel Food Pantry is partnering with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to offer fresh produce to senior citizens once a month beginning in March.  St. Noel will host the giveaway in the Banquet Center from 2-4 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month.  We are looking for volunteers to help make this happen.  Please call Anthony (946-1128 x122) if you are interested.

PARISH DAYTIME RETREAT – The next daytime retreat, “The Spirit is Willing but the Flesh is Weak: Breaking Bad Habits and Forming Good Ones”, will be Wednesday, March 1st from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.  Sign up on the kiosk or call Fran at 440-625-1228. There is no charge. For those who are able, a $6.00 donation to cover the cost of lunch is suggested. All are welcome!

endowment-tSomething to think about from the St. Noel Endowment Board…. Is there a favorite ministry or outreach program at St. Noel that you would like to sponsor on a permanent basis by making a gift of an endowment? Contact the St. Noel Parish office (440-946-0887) and ask to speak with someone from the Endowment Committee.

NOEL FELLOWSHIP – Meetings are held on Thursdays at 12:00 Noon in the St. Noel Banquet Center Small Hall. Activities are: On February 16th, socializing meeting; 12:30 p.m., Luncheon: Lemon chicken, red skin potatoes, salad, vegetables and cherry strudel. For tickets, call Theresa Durik at 440-585-9088. Cost is $6.00. Deadline for tickets is February 13th. On February 23rd, Bingo, Birthdays and Anniversaries. Bring something for the food pantry and receive a free 50/50 ticket. Everyone is welcome!

PANCAKE BREAKFAST – The City of Willoughby Hills will hold their annual all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast on Sundays, March 5th, 12th and 19th from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Willoughby Hills Community Center. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at Willoughby Hills City Hall. Tickets prices are Adults $6.50 pre-sale or $7.00 at the door, Children ages 5 thru 12 $4.00 and kids 4 & under free. ALL SAINTS SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE – All Saints of St. John Vianney School in Wickliffe is hosting an Open House for prospective students and families  this Sunday, February 12th, from noon to 2:00 p.m. Teachers and tour guides will be on hand at every event to answer questions and share information about the school.
