Welcome, Rob Keshock!

Posted in: Parish Life

This weekend, we welcome our new Director of Music, Mr. Robert Keshock. Rob is a graduate of the Garfield Heights City Schools where he earned the distinguished honor of “Most Musical Ability.” Rob sang in show choirs and A Capella choirs, played trumpet in the marching band, jazz band, and concert band, played piano, and even performed in many musicals. He also graduated from Heidelberg College with a BA in Music Education and was a member of Nu Sigma Alpha fraternity where he helped raise funds for the homeless each year. He continued to Cleveland State University and earned a Master of Education.

Rob is an accomplished musician and music minister and comes to Saint Noel with an array of experiences. Most recently he was the Director of Music for ten years at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Grafton. He was instrumental in transitioning two separate parishes into becoming one, by creating choirs and groups for everyone in the parish to join. He created a ministry program that encouraged youth and adults to participate, and he will continue to do the same at our parish. Previously, Rob was also the Director of Music at Saints Cosmas and Damian, Twinsburg for five years. Under his leadership, the participation grew within all various music ministries. Rob was also a music educator in the Garfield Heights City Schools. He taught elementary music education to K-5 students for many years. He was the band director for beginner band members, and nominated as teacher of the year, three times. Rob comes to us with many other experiences, including: Managing Director of the Garfield Heights Youth Theatre for 20 years. The theater included students from many of the eastern suburbs of Cleveland. Also, he has traveled on two European choir tours with the Catch the Spirit Choir, as a soloist and choir member, singing in many cathedrals throughout Europe.

Rob is looking forward to bringing his many experiences and love for the Church to Saint Noel, and is excited to work with our music ministries and parishioners. I know you will join me in welcoming him in the days and weeks ahead!

Fr. Terry
