St. Noel is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our parish staff as Youth Minister.  This role is a part-time position that will have responsibilities for overseeing the programming for our Middle and High School students as well as assisting with preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

This  is the job description:


Reports To: Pastor

Part-Time – Exempt


Responsible for developing a parish based pastoral ministry with youth. Reaches out to all youth in the community, provides for catechesis, invites and enables youth to serve others, and to understand the importance of community. Develops close communication with and mutual support from families of youth and collaborates with other community and parish youth organizations.


Plan and coordinate a comprehensive youth ministry program based upon Renewing the Vision so that youth grow closer to Christ.

Plan and coordinate PEACE middle school and PRIME TIME high school sessions.

Oversee the confirmation program for freshmen and sophomores

Work to integrate the youth into the parish life and to instill in all parishioners the vital role of  youth in parish life.

Plan and execute retreat experiences for the high school group.

Establish a yearly calendar of programming.

Serve as a member of the parish staff, attending staff meetings.

Participate in ongoing education in theology and youth ministry.

Abide by the Code of Ethics and follow the Code of Child Protection both personally and in supervision of others.



Bachelor’s Degree

Theological training and youth ministry experience preferred

Understanding and acceptance of Catholic teaching and practice

Enthusiasm in working with youth

Collaborative and flexible stance towards working with others

Salary will be determined in light of credentials and pastoral experience according to diocesan guidelines.
