Catholic Relief Services

News from our Parish Ambassadors, Jed Trombley and Martie Matuska:

Thanks to all who attended the  Fair Trade Holiday Sale to benefit Catholic Relief Services that was held on Saturday, November 5, and Sunday, November 6. Thanks also to our amazing volunteers for their help. All of you exceeded our expectations, as we sold out nearly all our crafts and food. This was our first venture into a fair trade consignment sale, and at our next sale in 2 years we will be sure to have more items for you. The Buy Once, Give Twice sale with individual fair trade vendors will return in 2017.

We hope you enjoy the items you purchased. Behind every basket, ornament and chocolate bar there is a story of positive change and a story of an empowered artisan or farmer who works in a safe environment, can send his or her children to school, and can save for the future with the reliable income he or she earns through fair trade. You have partnered with CRS and Serrv, a nonprofit, fair trade organization, to lift disadvantaged artisans, farmers, and their families out of poverty. Thank you.
